Prince William, Kate Middleton to arrive in Victoria today
The couple is bringing along its children, 3-year-old Prince George and one-year-old Princess Charlotte.
The Royals have a busy 8-day tour of British Columbia and Yukon. Their tour will shed light on social issues.
Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton will arrive at the 443 Maritime Helicopter Squadron in Victoria, BC and will make their first public appearance this evening in front of the Legislature along with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his wife Sophie Grégorie Trudeau.
Premier Christy Clark will also be present.
They will be welcomed with a 21- gun salute at 5:05 pm on Sunday.
Victoria’s Government House will be the Royal’s home base during their stay.
While the couple will be busy on its week long tour, the royal children will remain at home.
On Sunday, the couple will arrive at Vancouver’s downtown seaplane terminal and visit the Jack Poole Plaza followed by a visit at Sheway, an outreach program for vulnerable pregnant women in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside community.
For the rest of the week, the couple is scheduled to visit the Immigrant Services Society, the Telus Garden, Kitsilano Coast Guard Station, the indigenous community in Bella Bella and also fly over the Great Bear Rainforest.
On Sept 29 morning, the couple will be hosting a children’s party in the garden of the Government House. Families of the military have been invited.
The Royals' official public departure is scheduled from Victoria Harbour on Oct 1.
