Russian Economic Development Minister held for taking bribe
Moscow, Nov 15 (IBNS): Russian Economic Development Minister Alexei Ulyukayev is facing a criminal investigation by the Investigative Committee, Russia's main anti-corruption body, for allegedly taking bribe, a RIA Novostire port said.
Svetlana Petrenko, Acting Management head of media relations of the Investigative Committee was quoted by RIA Novosti as saying that Ulyukayev was detained for alleged extortion of bribes followed by threats to Rosneft representatives.
The agency further said that he was caught red handed.
The minister extorted at least $2 million as bribes.
