Pakistan: Lifter collapses at Islamabad airport, 5 injured
Islamabad, Feb 27 (IBNS): An ambo-lifter, which is used for carrying patients who can't walk, collapsed at Islamabad's Benazir Bhutto International Airport on Tuesday, leaving at least five people injured, media reports said.
Four passengers — including three women and a loader — were injured and shifted to a hospital for treatment, airport officials said, adding that the condition of the loader was critical Dawn News reported.
The collapse of the lifter damaged left wing of the Emirates Airline plane.
It was attached to the flight.
The flight was about to leave for Dubai city, reports said.
The plane was removed from the runway for repairing of the damage caused by the collapse.
