Bangladesh to observe day-long mourning tomorrow over loss of lives in Nepal plane crash
Dhaka, Mar 14 (IBNS): The Bangladesh government on Wednesday announced that the country will observe a day-long mourning on Thursday over the loss of lives in the recent plane mishap in Nepal.
A US-Bangla plane, which started its journey from Bangladesh, crashed in Kathmandu city of Nepal on Monday, killing at least 51 people.
Hasina convened a meeting in her office in Dhaka on Wednesday to set the day for mourning, after cutting her Singapore visit short, bdnews24.com reported.
Hasina was in Singapore when the mishap occurred in Nepal.
She returned on Tuesday.
Special prayers will be offered in different religious institutions across the nation on Thursday for the victims of the crash, media reports said.
The flight started its journey from Dhaka city in Bangladesh before crashing in Kathmandu.
