Karachi, May 10 (IBNS):  A local leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), along with three others, were injured in an alleged target attack by unknown men in country's Karachi city on Wednesday, media reports said.

The attackers reportedly attacked the wounded people by firing and lobbing hand grenade at them.

Aqeel Rehmani, a member of the ruling PML-N party, was shot at by unidentified suspects near Ghareeb Shah Mazar and received six gunshot wounds, law enforcement agencies (LEAs) told Geo News.

Rahmani has been shifted to Civil Hospital for treatment.

Rahmani's bodyguards reportedly fired back at the attackers.

Two suspects were injured in the process, reports said.

The suspects lobbed hand grenades at the bodyguards, media reports said.

"A man named Imran was wounded during the grenade attack, police said, adding that civilians nearby managed to capture and hand over a suspect — identified as Usman — to the Rangers," reported Geo News.

Another suspect, who was identified as  Asad Baloch, was also caught by security officials.
