Bus-bike collision in Nepal kills 1 in Nepal

Kathmandu, June 26 (IBNS): At least two persons was killed and two others were hurt when a motorcycle hit a bus in Nepal's Kamal Rural Municipality-4 of Jhapa district on Tuesday, media reports said.

The identity of the deceased person has not been established so far.

According to the District Traffic Police Office, the accident occurred when the bus (Na 4 Kha 7509) heading in westward direction rear-ended the motorcycle (Ko 9 Pa 8956) today morning, killing the motorcyclist and injuring two pillion riders," The Himalayan Times reported.

The injured people were identified as Umesh Khadka and Amar Limbu.

The injured duo Umesh Khadka and Amar Limbu of Kamal Rural Municipality have been sent to the Biratnagar-based Neuro Hospital for treatment, Police Inspector Rajesh Rai of Biratnagar Police Office was quoted as saying by The Himalayan Times.

Police have started further investigations into the incident.
