Afghanistan: Explosion kills district police chief in northern Takhar province
Kabul, Dec 31 (IBNS): An explosion outside the governor’s house in northern Takhar province in Afghanistan left the district police chief for Durqad district dead, media reports said on Monday.
A credible source told Pajhwok Afghan News the explosives-rigged at the car of police chief Col. Omar went off in front of governor’s house.
The incident left three others injured.
Jawad Hijri, the governor’s spokesman, told the Afghanistan-based news agency that the district’s administrative chief was killed and three other people wounded.
No group has claimed responsibility for the incident.
