Afghanistan: Suicide bombers attack telecommunication ministry compound in Kabul

Kabul, Apr 20 (IBNS): A group of suicide bombers launched a coordinated attack targeting the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology in Afghanistan capital Kabul city on Saturday, media reports said.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Interior Nasrat Rahimi confirmed to Khaama Press that the incident but added that the nature of explosion has not been ascertained so far. 

Security forces have surrounded the area where the attack is taking place.

Rahimi told the news agency, “Today at 11:40 three suicide bombers attacked MCIT post office building taking benefit of a holy shrine. Police has surrounded the area & crises response unit has reached to foil the attack.”
