Easter Day Blasts: Sri Lanka temporarily lifts ban on social media

Colombo, May 6 (IBNS): The Sri Lankan government has lifted the ban on the social media temporarily, reports said.

"The temporary ban on social media platforms such as What Sapp and Facebook has already lifted, Nalaka Kaluwewa Director General of the Government Information Department announced short while ago," news.lk reported.

Eight blats rocked Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday and left the country shocked.

The incidents left 253 people killed.

Islamic State claimed responsibility for the incidents.
