Kabul, July 7 (IBNS): The Afghan Special Forces have arrested a leader of the ISIS terrorist group from Afghanistan's Kunduz province, media reports said on Sunday.
The Ministry of Interior (MoI) in a statement said Sunday the Special Forces conducted an operation in Imam Sahib district, Khaama Press reported.
The statement further added that the Special Forces conducted the operation based on a tip off to arrest a top ISIS leader, the news report further said.
The forces reportedly conducted the raid on Saturday night.
Khaama Press reported, meanwhile, the interior ministry said the Special Forces arrested a top ISIS leader, Amin alias Agha.
Amin was in charge of recruitment activities of the terror group in Kunduz, reported the news agency.
The ISIS group has not commented on the issue so far.
