Rifat Murder in Bangladesh: Aysha Siddika Minni's bail rejected
Dhaka, July 21 (IBNS): A Bangladesh court on Sunday rejected the bail plea of Aysha Siddika Minni who has been arrested in connection with the murder of her husband Rifat Sharif, media reports said.
The court of senior judicial magistrate Md Sirajul Isalm Gazi rejected Aysha's bail.
Mahbubul Bari Aslam moved for Aysha Siddika in the court. He was assisted by the lawyers of Ain O Salish Kendra (ASK) and Bangladesh Legal Aid and Services Trust (BLAST), reported Prothom Alo.
The court said, Aysha Siddika has confessed to her involvement with the murderunder the section 164. Two more accused in this case -- Rabbi Akhand and Rifat Farazi -- also said that Aysha Siddika along with prime accused Nayan Bond planned the murder, reported the Bangladesh-based newspaper.
Rifat was hacked to death in broad daylight close to the Barguna Government College last month.
His wife was arrested on July 17.
