Afghanistan: Student among 6 rescued from a Taliban prison

Kabul, Aug 30 (IBNS): During an operation conducted in Afghanistan's south-eastern Ghazni province, Afghan Special Forces released six people from Taliban prison, media reports said.

The Special Operations Corps said in a statement that the Special Forces conducted the raid in Geru district on Thursday night, reported Khaama Press.

The statement further added that the Special Forces rescued six people from a Taliban prison, reported the news agency.

A student, an intelligence operative, a policeman and three civilians were among those rescued from the prison.

The Taliban did not comment on the matter so far.
