Imran Khan makes goof-up at UNGA, refers to Modi as Indian 'President'

New York: Embarrassing himself in front of the global leaders, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan called Narendra Modi as India's "President" during his address at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) here on Friday.

Khan, who preferred to spend more time in attacking India at the UNGA, said at one point, "After I came to power, I sent a message. I talked to President Modi and said we share a similar problem...."

In another instance, Khan during his trip to Iran had said Germany and Japan shared a border while speaking about trade ties.

The netizens had trolled the Pakistan Prime Minister for his goof-up.

Attacking India and the Modi government on expected lines, Khan during his UNGA address on Friday slammed the removal of special status of Jammu and Kashmir (read abrogation of Article 370) by New Delhi and continued lockdown in the region while warning of a bloodbath once the curfew is lifted in the troubled spot. The beleagured Pakistan Prime Minister fired on all cylinders to internationalise the Kashmir issue and even painted the spectre of a nuclear war.

"If a conventional war starts between the two countries, supposing a country seven times smaller is faced with a choice to surrender or fight to the end," he stated. "When a nuclear country fights till the end it has consequences far beyond the borders," he said.
