Kabul/IBNS/UNI: A roadside bomb blast in Afghanistan's Ghazni province on Friday left at least 10 people killed, media reports said.

The blast left six others injured.

Presidential spokesman Sediq Sediqqi confirmed the matter on Twitter.

In his tweet, he blamed the Taliban for this blast, reported Khaama Press.

"A minibus carload of civilians running along a dusty road between Jaghato and Dih Yak districts in Ghazni touched off a pressure-plate improvised explosive device (IED), leading to an explosion roughly at 1030 hrs (local time)," Interior Ministry Deputy Spokesperson Marwa Amini told Xinhua.

"Four women and one child were among the killed and provincial official were trying to notify relatives of the victims," she said.

"Three women were among the wounded," she added.

Taliban militants have been using home-made improvised explosive devices (IEDs) to make roadside bombs and landmines for targeting security forces, but the lethal weapons also inflict casualties on civilians.

More than 32,600 civilians have died and about 60,700 have been injured as a result of armed conflict in Afghanistan since January 2009, according to figures of the UN mission in the country.
