Afghanistan: Blast in funeral ceremony kills 5

Kabul, Jan 29 (IBNS): At least four people were killed in a bomb blast during the funeral ceremony for an Afghan Local Police (ALP) commander in Afghanistan's eastern Laghman province on Thursday, media reports said.

Twenty others were wounded in the bombing in the Pahlawan Baba area of the provincial capital at 3.00pm, the governor’s spokesman, Sarhadi Zwak, told Afghanistan's Pajhwok Afghan News.

He said provincial crime branch chief Col. Khalilur Rahman Niazi was killed in the blast.
