Abductor of converted Hindu girls in Pakistan bribed police: Family member alleges
Islamabad/IBNS: An uncle of two abducted Hindu girls in Pakistan has alleged that their abductor Mohammad Aachar Dharejo is getting the favour of the police as he bribed them.
"Two of daughters are abducted by Dharejo [the man accused of abduction]. One is Suthi, the other is Shama. Police is also favoring Dharejo’s having fake evidence but police is supporting them as they have received the bribe," the person said.
"We have evidences, but we are poor. We went to Gambat today where one of my daughter was presented before court and she was crying while going back to Khairpur. She was only allowed to meet her mother saying the time is over," he said.
The uncle said the Hindus in the country are facing tyranny.
"We are facing tyranny; we all Hindus want to be dispelled out of the country once as we have been losing our daughters and no one returns," he said.
He alleged that a religious scholar Hussaini Shah converted the girls to Islam without properly questioning them.
"I am also reciting Kalima but it does not mean I have become a Muslim; they receive money for such acts. We need help, otherwise send us to our homeland. For the sake of Allah or your Holi book Quran send us to that country; we are no more in a position to live any more in this country as we are always insulted, please help us," he said.
"This is tyranny not Islam; they swear by Quran for their deeds, what should we do? This is all cheating what should we poor people do? For the sake of your religion send us to our homeland along with our old wives who are ready to go back," he said.
Continuing the alleged oppression on the minority community even at a time when the world is struggling to combat COVID-19, two Hindu girls have been allegedly abducted from Pakistan's Thari Mirwah region in Sindh.
The two girls were identified as Sutthi and Shama.
"Two more minor Hindu girls named Sutthi and Shama abducted from Tharhi mirwaha Sindh Pakistan by brother of local MP Pir Fasil shah Jeelani," sources said.
"They are requesting to all, please send us to India," it said.
However, this is not a new incident.
A Hindu teen was allegedly forcefully converted and then married to a 40-year-old man in Sindh region of the country recently.
The man allegedly abducted the Hindu teen.
The alleged abductor, Mohammad Aachar Darejo, took a photo with her and the nikah-nama, reported Naya Daur.
In 2019 alone, more than 41 girls belonging to Hindu faith have been kidnapped and converted to Islam, by force. An estimated 4.5 million Hindus live in Pakistan, majority of them in Sindh, reported the news portal.
Around 1,000 cases of Hindu and Christian girls being forced to convert were estimated in the province of southern Sindh alone in 2018, according to the annual report of the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan, reported the news portal.
