Afghan president expresses sympathy with Lebanese gov't over Beirut port blast
Kabul/Xinhua: Afghan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has expressed sympathy over deadly blast in the Beirut port and condolences to the victims' families, said a statement of Presidential Palace released here Wednesday.
In the statement, the Afghan president also hoped that the government and the people of Lebanon could overcome the challenges arising out of the deadly and destructive blast.
At least 80 people were reportedly killed and some 4,000 others injured in the port blast that rocked Beirut on Tuesday.
