Awami National Party claims Pakistani mosques collecting donations for Afghan Taliban
Islamabad: Awami National Party, a key opposition party of Pakistan, has claimed donations are being collected in mosques for supporting Afghan Taliban.
The party asked the government to take swift action on the issue.
This was disclosed by ANP provincial president Aimal Wali Khan while speaking at a condolence reference arranged at Bacha Khan Markaz to pay homage to Sadruddin Marwat, the party’s former provincial spokesman, here on Tuesday, reports Dawn News.
He said the people who were advocating for recognition of the Tehreek-i-Taliban Afghanistan could not be called as friends of Pakhtuns.
The ANP leader was quoted as saying by Dawn News that his party had always pinpointed that the terrorists were regrouping in parts of the country but the government was least bothered to take stern action against them.
