Maryam Nawaz slams Pakistan PM Imran Khan, says his election symbol should be 'thief'

Islamabad: Pakistan's key election leader Maryam Nawaz has slammed Pakistan PM Imran Khan and said his election symbol should now be that of a "thief" rather than the cricket bat.

Interestingly, Khan is one of the iconic cricketers who played for Pakistan.

Under his leadership, Pakistan won the 50 over World Cup in 1992.

The PML-N leader was quoted as saying by Geo News that in 2018, Imran Khan "stole the election" with the symbol of the cricket bat.

"The mention of Imran Khan's name now only brings to mind how the people were robbed of flour, sugar and Kashmir," she said.
