Pakistan: Women demonstrate against power, gas outrage in Lakki
Islamabad: 'Burqa' clad women protested in Lakki city on Tuesday against excessive spike in gas shortage and power supply outrage.
A large number of women gathered at the main bus stand and closed the busy road linking Bannu with Mianwali district of Punjab, reports The Nation.
During the protest, the demonstrators were seen holding placards inscribed with slogans against gas and electricity load-shedding.
Pedestrians and motorists faced troubles as roads were blocked for several hours.
“We face a lot of problems while preparing breakfast, lunch and dinner as the facilities remains suspended most time of the day and night,” the woman told the newspaper.
