Kathmandu, May 31 (IBNS) Schools, which remained closed following devastating earthquakes in Nepal, reopened on Sunday.

Two earthquakes rocked Nepal in the past one month,  disrupting normal life in the Himalayan nation.

"Though many schools have reopened from today the curriculum activities in some of the school buildings suffering damages would be operated after some days, stated the decision of the Ministry of Education," ekantipur.com reported.

"Students are being sent to private and public schools in quake-affected zones including the Kathmandu Valley. The schools have resumed their educational activities by constructing temporary shelters as an alternative after technical assessment of the devastated and partially damaged school structures," reported the website.

The earthquake crashed several buildings, temples and towers and killed large number of people in the country.
