Former Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai had reacted to the ongoing clashes between  Taliban and National Resistance Forces (NRF) in Panjshir and said the continued bloodshed must stop.

He condemned the brutal killings in the region.

“The bitter past experience has clearly indicated that bloodshed and war is never the solution, but it brings further ruin and destruction,” former President Hamid Karzai has said on his Friday’s Facebook page as quoted by Khaama Press.

Karzai emphasized on stopping war and relying on discussions and negotiations as the only way to reach a solution for the Afghanistan humanitarian crisis.

He also asked the Taliban government to act as a responsible party in paving the way for negotiations and talks.

The Taliban captured power in Afghanistan in 2021.
