At least 14 Pakistani soldiers died after terrorists attacked two vehicles, which were carrying security forces, in Gwadar region of the country, media reports said.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), in a statement, said that the unfortunate incident occurred when the security convoy was moving from Pasni to Ormara in Gwadar district, reported Geo News.

The Pakistani military said sanitisation work is currently conducted in the area.

The ISPR mentioned that the security forces are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country and such sacrifices of "our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve", the news channel reported.

Meanwhile, Interim Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani condemned the incident and wrote on X: "Strongly condemn the cowardly terrorist attack on our soldiers which resulted in the martyrdom of 14 brave sons of the soil. Such acts are utterly reprehensible. Our thoughts and prayers are with families of the martyred and injured. Pakistan stands resolute against terrorists."

Pakistan is witnessing a spike in terror attacks in recent times.

Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and other militant outfits have intensified their actions against security forces.
