At least three passengers were injured in an explosion on a railway track which was recently restored to resume train service between Sibi and Harnai, media reports said on Monday.

Railway police told Dawn News that a train from Harnai was on its way to Sibi when the blast took place.

They explained that an explosive device, planted by unidentified persons on the tracks, went off when train was passing through the Babar Kach area of Sibi.

A portion of the tracks and one coach were slightly damaged in the incident.
