Family members of three allegedly abducted Baloch students blocked the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) route recently, activist Mehrang Baloch said.

The three students were identified as Aslam, Hammal and Bahadur Chakar.

Mehrang Baloch posted on X: "Aslam , Hammal and Bahadur chakar are Baloch students, who have been abducted from hoshap and Tajaban, their family members have blocked the CPEC route."

"On the one hand, the people of Balochistan are protesting against the Baloch genocide and human rights violations, while the state has ruthlessly continued its inhumane policy of Baloch genocide," he said.

He said: "Human rights organizations should play a significant role in advocating for the recovery of the baloch youth."

Baloch Yakjehti Committee leader Mahrang Baloch, who led the month-long sit-in protest to highlight the issue of mission persons and police torture in Balochistan, on Saturday said a “revolution” was brewing in the Pakistani region.

In her address at the Shahwani Stadium in Quetta, Dr Baloch also called the ongoing movement against enforced disappearance and operations “a watershed moment”, reported Dawn News.

Women, political workers and students from different areas of the province attended the gathering on Saturday.

“Today, the participants have proved that they are with their mothers and sisters in their struggle for the recovery of their loved ones,” she said.

“We proudly hold our heads high because of you,” she said.

She said the people of the Pakistani region have been protesting against “atrocities and injustices” committed by the state for the last 75 years.
