Pakistan: Man decides to end his life after failing to pay Rs. 28,300 utility bills

Burdened by hefty electricity bills, a Pakistani man decided to end his life by jumping in front of a train, media reports said.

The deceased person was identified as  Fida Hussain.

His last utility bills amounted to Rs. 28,300.

Fida Hussain, who lived in the Roda Tali area, had received an electricity bill of Rs. 24,800 and was charged Rs. 3,500 for gas, reported Ary News.

The rising electricity bill is becoming a cause of concern for every Pakistani household.

The deceased person's neighbour said he was unemployed in recent times and faced difficulty in paying the utility bills.

The bills were reportedly found in his pocket after the incident.
