The Twin-Otter turbo prop aircraft had gone missing soon after it took off from Pokhara airport on its flight to Jomsom, a popular starting point for treks into the Himalayas.
Reportedly, the aircraft caught fire after the accident.
Of the 23 people on board, 18 were Nepalese citizens, including the two children, one Chinese and one Kuwaiti, and three crew members.
Officials from Nepal’s Civil Aviation Authority have said that the reason of crash is yet to be probed.
A preliminary investigation has suggested that low visibility due to a cloud of dust shrouding the area following dry landslides in Mount Annapurna might have caused the crash, according to media reports.
