Afghan National Police repels an Armed Taliban attack in Farah Province

Kabul, May 22 (IBNS): At least 11 armed Taliban were killed including three armed Taliban commanders following an armed attack, after a group of armed Taliban attacked the Afghan National Police check posts in Anar Dara District of Farah province on Saturday, officials said.

Twenty other armed Taliban were wounded, Afghanistan's Ministry of Interior Affairs said in a statement.

During this attack, Afghan National Police confiscated three vehicles and some amount of light and heavy rounds as well.

No ANP and civilians were harmed, read the statement.

This group was involved in many terrorist and destructive activities in this district and other areas of Farah province.

Afghan National Police encourages all citizens to report suspicious activities and criminal acts by dialing 119.
