Afghanistan: 24 Taliban killed

Kabul, Oct 11 (IBNS): Security forces conducted airstrikes in Southern Kandahar province of Afghanistan which killed at least 24 Taliban, media reports said on Tuesday.

Maj. Amir Mohammad, spokesman for the 205 Atal military corps, told country's Pajhwok Afghan News that security forces launched a joint offensive codenamed Shafaq-95 against militants in Kandahar, Uruzgan and Zabul provinces.

According to reports, three Taliban were injured in the strikes.
