High Ranking Officer faces charge over discovery of video recorder in Toronto's Canadian Forces washroom
The Canadian forces stated the charges were framed over the alleged video recording of members of the Department of National Defence and the armed forces in the years spanning from 2012 to 2016.
Global News highlighted a version of spokesman for 4th Canadian Division who said the accused Master Warrant Officer Mardie Reyes was arrested in last October and he is off from his duty since February this year.
Master Warrant Officer is the second non-commissioned member rank of the Canadian Forces, after Chief Warrant Officer.
Reyes was also the sergeant major of the 4th Canadian Division Headquarters in those years when the crime took place.
He was the in the managerial post since 2014, who reported to the commander of 4th Canadian Division Headquarters.
Reyes was charged on Friday over all punishable offences.
The forces said the case is in the process of military justice system. However, the court date is not yet fixed.
