US: Grand Canyon helicopter crash kills 3
Washington, Feb 11 (IBNS): At least three people were killed when a tourist helicopter crashed in the Grand Canyon in the US state of Arizona on Saturday, media reports said.
The incident left four others injured.
According to reports, the place was reportedly carrying six passengers and a pilot.
Three people died when the Papillon Airways EC-130 vessel crashed at approximately 5:20 p.m. (7:20 p.m. ET) Saturday, police chief Francis E. Bradley Sr. of the Hualapai reservation was quoted as saying by CNN.
The reason behind the crash is still not known.
Papillon Airways operated the helicopter. media reports said.
On its website, Papillon Airways calls itself as 'oldest Grand Canyon helicopter sightseeing company'.
It said it flies more than 600,000 people a year.
