Canada: Toronto police suspect pranksters to be behind car's suspension from bridge
Toronto, May 3 (IBNS): Toronto police have suspected the car's suspension from a city bridge to be a prank, media reports said.
According to BBC, police have suspected some pranksters could be responsible for the incident on Wednesday.
A blue sedan was seen dangling through a rope under the Millwood Overpass Bridge in Toronto.
In a video which was aired by CTV Toronto, the car could be seen spinning in the wind.
The inside of the car was burnt while the windows were broken.
With the help of the firefighters, the car was brought down after 10 am.
The onlookers while talking to CTV Toronto said that they haven't seen such thing before. They were amazed.
Police told CTV News that the right southbound lane of the Don Valley Parkway was blocked at Millwood Road.
The incident had unnerved daily commuters on Wednesday morning.
Toronto Mayor John Tory told the media that he could not understand the incident.
Tory has been quoted by CTV News, "When I was shown the pictures I was just shaking my head in disbelief that it could have happened."
“If it’s a prank, then obviously the law should apply to people who are doing things like that.”
