Canada: 'I can do better', tells Ontario Premier Wynne to voters
Toronto, May 24 (IBNS): Ahead of the Jun 7 election, Ontario premier Kathleen Wynne has said she can do better for people, in a bid to return to power in the upcoming polls, media reports said.
Liberals have released a new ad on Wednesday where Wynne could be seen wuthing the crowds while at an event or when out for a jog.
The ad comprises of her appeal for donations for the polls.
Wynne has been quoted by Toronto Star, "How can I make life better for you? That’s what I think about when I get up to run at 5 in the morning."
"That work never stops. Better never stops. Neither will I.”
According to the media reports, the Liberals are struggling in the polls as they are lagging behind their rivals by a double-digit margin.
Liberal campaign director David Herle told Toronto Star that the ad came after Doug Ford's campaign for the Conservatives is "drifting down" to its base level.
Herle claimed that the New Democratic Party (NDP) has failed to "close the deal" over Horwath's $1.4 billion platform which accounted error.
The poll in Ontario, which is a province in Canada, is scheduled to be held on Jun 7.
