Canada: India's Independence Day celebrated in Consulate General's Office in Toronto

Toronto, Aug 18 (IBNS): The 72nd Indian Independence Day was celebrated in the Consulate General’s Office in Toronto, Ontario, in the midst of a large Indo-Canadian gathering, on Aug 15.

Dressed in colorful attires, people from different cities of Ontario had gathered together to pay homage to the national flag of India.

Consul General of India,Toronto, Dinesh Bhatia hoisted India's national flag at the auditorium of the Consulate General Office.

Bhatia thanked all the members of Parliament, representatives from the city and senior air force members.

Bhatia then highlighted his efforts in starting weekly meetings since 2016 when members of the Indian dispora could meet him without any prior appointment and discuss any concern or issue they have.

Bhatia added that continuous efforts are being made by the consulate to make Indians, who are away from home, to feel in their homes.

Bhatia extended his complements to the Panorama Team for their untiring activities under the leadership of Anu Srivastava.
