Canada PM Trudeau calls destruction caused by Typhoon Mangkhut as 'heartbreaking'
Ottawa, Sept 18 (IBNS): Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has called the Typhoon Mangkaut, which killed 60 odd people in South China and Philippines, as "heartbreaking".
Putting up a tweet, Trudeau said: "The loss of life and destruction caused by typhoon Mangkhut are heartbreaking. To everyone affected in the Philippines, China and the region - we're keeping you in our thoughts & we’re ready to offer help and support with recovery efforts: "

At least 60 people in Philippines and two others in South China were killed by the typhoon, media report said.
Issuing a statement, Global Affairs Canada said the country is ready to help the areas affected by the typhoon.
The statement read, "Our thoughts are with the many people affected by super typhoon Mangkhut, which is causing significant devastation in the Philippines and is now hitting Hong Kong, Macau and mainland southern China.
"Canada offers its sincerest condolences to the families and loved ones of those who have lost their lives, and we hope for a swift recovery for those injured.
“Canada stands ready to assist as appropriate to help areas affected by the super typhoon.
