California: Shooting at music bar in Thousand Oaks kills 13 people

California, Nov 8 (IBNS): A shooting inside a music bar at Thousand Oaks in California of the US claimed 13 lives, media reports said.

The shooting took place at 11.20 pm on Wednesday.

At least 200 people were inside the bar when the shooting took place.

Officials told media the suspect, who has been identified, was found dead inside the music bar, which is about 40 miles away north-west of Los Angeles, report said.

Donald Trump's first reactions:

US President Donald Trump tweeted, "I have been fully briefed on the terrible shooting in California. Law Enforcement and First Responders, together with the FBI, are on scene. 13 people, at this time, have been reported dead. Likewise, the shooter is dead, along with the first police officer to enter the bar...."

"....Great bravery shown by police. California Highway Patrol was on scene within 3 minutes, with first officer to enter shot numerous times. That Sheriff’s Sergeant died in the hospital. God bless all of the victims and families of the victims. Thank you to Law Enforcement."
