Brampton, Dec 14 (IBNS): Liberal Party lawmakers from Brampton along with Minister of Seniors Filomena Tassi and members of Parliament Ruby Sahota and Sonia Sidhu were invited to the Seniors Town hall here last Sunday to understand the needs of the the aged and develop better programs and services for them, media reports said.

Listening to the concerns and answering questions to more than a hundred seniors gathered at the venue, Tassi highlighted investments made by the government to improve income security, health, affordable housing and expansion of seniors' programs.

Sahota said the "remarkable contribution that Canadian seniors have made to our society and economy over the years" had been recognised by the government. She said the government gave seniors top priority to ensure they could "enjoy the fulfilling lives that they very much deserve...encourage them to stay active and involved in their communities.”
