Canada: Politicians to return to Ontario legislature tomorrow
Toronto, Feb 18 (IBNS): Canadian politicians will return to the Ontario legislature on Tuesday after a winter break, CTV News reported.
Healthcare reform, policing changes and budget will be on the card in the legislature.
Ontario Premier Doug Ford and his ministers are expected to face tough questions about autism funding, class sizes and student loans.
Government House leader Todd Smith has been quoted by CTV News as saying, "I think there's a strong feeling out there that the police system needs some fixing and we really do want to restore that trust in the police and I think you're going to see legislation along those lines."
Date of budget is yet to be announced.
About its move in the legislature, the New Democratic Party (NDP) said as quoted by CTV News, "We are going to passionately stand up for the people of Ontario."
"We're going to fight for those families and children that have autism that this government has so cruelly kicked to the curb."
