Mike Pompeo condemns terror attack in Afghanistan mosque
Washington/IBNS: US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Sunday condemned the loss of lives in the blasts that rocked a mosque in Nangarhar area of Afghanistan that left 69 people killed.
Pompeo said places of worship should be sanctuaries and not targets for terrorist attacks.

He tweeted: "We condemn in the strongest terms yesterday’s attack on worshipers at a mosque in Nangarhar, Afghanistan. Places of worship should be sanctuaries, not targets for terrorist attacks. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the victims and their families. "
The explosion occurred during Friday prayers.
Earlier media reports claimed that 62 people were killed in the incident.
No terror group has claimed responsibility for the incident.
