US Presidential Elections: Donald Trump asks to halt vote counts alleging 'fraud'

Washinton/IBNS: Amid a neck-to-neck fight with Democrat nominee Joe Biden in a tight race for the White House, US President Donald Trump on Wednesday demanded that the counting for the votes be stopped, CNN reported.

Appearing before the reporters at the White House on Wednesday (morning in America), Trump said he had already beaten Democrat Joe Biden, and the election was being stolen from him in a massive act of fraud.

In a tweet, he called the ballots counting 'strange' which was later hidden behind warnings.

"Last night I was leading, often solidly, in many key States, in almost all instances Democrat run & controlled. Then, one by one, they started to magically disappear as surprise ballot dumps were counted. VERY STRANGE, and the “pollsters” got it completely & historically wrong!" Trump wrote.

In another tweet, he said: "How come every time they count Mail-In ballot dumps they are so devastating in their percentage and power of destruction?"

Earlier Trump claimed his victory even before the emergence of a clear picture of who could enter the White House winning the high-pitched Presidential Election.

Addressing a gathering in the White House, Trump said, "We are going to win this election. Frankly, we did win this election."

However, as per the last update by CNN, Democratic nominee Joe Biden (227 electoral colleges) is ahead of Trump (213 electoral colleges).

Meanwhile, Trump has said he would move the Supreme Court stating that he had already won states that were still counting votes, including Georgia, North Carolina and Pennsylvania.

"We are going to the Supreme Court to stop vote counting so that they (Democrats) can't fudge it," the US President said.
