Saudi Arabia: Security officials foil attack on US consulate

Jeddah, July 4 (IBNS) Saudi security officials were able to thwart an attack on the US consulate in Jeddah on Monday, media reports said.

The attacker managed to kill himself after detonating the device,reports said.

According to reports, two security officials were injured in the incident. They have been taken to a hospital for a treatment.

"Security officials cordoned off the area around the consulate, which is surrounded by Falastine, Al-Andalous, Al-Hamra and Hail roads," Arab News reported.
