Road rage in Toronto ends in Highway crash
According to Kerry Schmidt, provincial police sergeant, the incident took place just before midnight on Thursday as the driver of a car tried to get around the motorcyclists who blocked the Highway 401 in Mississauga.
He said following an argument the motorcyclist ended up allegedly damaging the vehicle.
Police said, both the car and the group of motorcyclists got off from the highway after a heated discussion. It was then that a woman stepped off from the car and ended up getting assaulted by a motorcyclist.
Schmidt informs, the car’s driver took off to chase the motorcyclists, leaving the woman behind with her injuries.
However, the car then crashed into a nearby wall and burst into flame. But the driver was able to escape with some minor injuries.
The car’s driver has been charged by the police on account of dangerous driving and possession of drugs. The motorcyclists who were involved in the incident are on police radar, as search is on.
Schmidt also informed that the motorcyclists behaved similarly to a massive group of bikers who donned the streets of Mississauga two weeks back. In that incident, one of the bikes crashed and burst into flames, yet the rider fled the scene.
Although the incidents were of a similar nature, Schmidt says police have no connection between the two groups at this point.
