Pramila Jayapal elected to the U.S. House of Representative
Washington, Nov 9 (IBNS): Creating history, Pramila Jayapal became the first Indian-American woman who was elected to the U.S. House of Representative on Wednesday.
She won the Washington State Senate seat.
Thanking her supporters, she tweeted: "To everyone that has been a part of this movement -- THANK YOU! #TeamPramila."
She defeated her opponent Brady Walkinshaw.
