6.9 magnitude earthquake hits Indonesia, triggers tsunami warning
Jakarta, Jul 7 (IBNS): A strong 6.9 magnitude earthquake hit Indonesia on Sunday, the US Geological Survey reported.
The quake has triggered a tsunami warning.
Many residents city of Ternate in North Maluku province fled their residences as the panic spread.
Indonesia's geophysics agency has issued a tsunami warning for coastal areas.
However, there has been no immediate reports of damage or casualties as a result of the quake.
