Afghanistan: Key ISIS leader, 44 militants killed in operations
Kabul, Apr 28 (IBNS): A key ISIS leader along with 44 militants have been killed in separate operations in Afghanistan's Nangarhar province, local Khaama Press reported.
While 36 militants were killed in ground and air strikes in Achin district, nine others were killed in an airstrike in Haska Mina district.
The operation also led to the destruction of several ISIS hideouts, the agency quoted government officials as saying.
The slain leader has been identified as Qari Nafiz and was one among the 36 militants killed in Achin district.
