Kabul: Despite transit troubles, Afghanistan’s chamber of commerce and industry has claimed  trade between Afghanistan and Pakistan has risen by 50 percent in the past week ever since the Taliban started controlling the  borders and dry ports.

Deputy of the chamber Khan Jan Alokozai told Khaama Press that because of the closure of banks the problems in the transit sector are still visible but the experts of Afghanistan and imports of Pakistan have seen a rise.

Afghanistan’s chamber of commerce and investment members met Taliban representatives on Monday.

According to reports, they informed them about the troubles of the private sectors of the country as the Taliban assured to solve them.

Spokesperson of Afghanistan Islamic Emirate AIE Zabiullah Mujahid was quoted as saying by Khaama Press that they are focused on the economic situation and are working hard to implement the schemes they have prepared.
