Afghanistan: US soldier succumbed to injures suffered in roadside bombing

Kabul, Dec 4 (IBNS):  A US soldier, who was injured during a roadside bomb blast in Afghanistan last month, passed away on Sunday, Pentagon said on Tuesday.

The Pentagon said the soldier was supporting Operation Freedom's Sentinel.

"Sgt. Jason Mitchell McClary, 24, from Export, Pennsylvania, died Dec. 2, 2018, in Landstuhl, Germany, as a result of injuries sustained from an improvised explosive device on Nov. 27, 2018, in Andar District, Ghazni Province, Afghanistan. The incident is under investigation," Pentagon said in a statement.

McClary was assigned to 1st Battalion, 38th Infantry Regiment, 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colorado.
