Camp Speicher massacre: Iraq executes 36

Baghdad, Aug 21 (IBNS): Iraq authorities have executed 36 men who are convicted over the killing of nearly 1,700 military recruits at a former US base in 2014, media reports said.

"The massacre at Camp Speicher, near Tikrit, was carried out by fighters from so-called Islamic State (IS) as it seized territory across northern Iraq," BBC reported.

Mass graves of the incident was found later.

Militant group IS had reportedly released photos and video documenting  connected to the massacre  in 2014.
