Canada: Live crabs occupy seats in Toronto subway train, witness shares story
Toronto, May 11 (IBNS): A Toronto woman has shared a unique experience of witnessing live crabs occupying seats in a Toronto subway train, drawing ire of a passenger.
A TTC rider, who can be identified as Pony Macaroni on Facebook, shared the story on the social networking site.
Pony was travelling back to her home and got into a train. She saw four live crabs occupying seats surrounding a man, who was in his own seat.
Then a girl boarded the train, who was initially shocked to see the crabs, didn't confront the man, Pony narrated.
But after half-a-minute, the girl turned back and took on the man for placing live crabs on seats.
Pony said on a Facebook post, "Then a girl walked by, thinking there was a free seat, saw the crabs, let out a small shocked scream, and kept walking. About 30 seconds later she comes storming back and became a real effing hero:
"What is this shit?!? What is this?!? Crabs on the seats? So no one can sit down?!? All these people standing here tired after working all day? What's that? Oh you paid for their seats? You paid 2 dollars extra so they can have seats?!?"
The girl also smacked the crabs, one of those fell in someone's lap, to be countered back by the man who alleged the former to assault the crabs.
The Facebook post reads, "Then she smacked each crab off the seats so hard that they landed in someone's lap and on another person's feet and stormed off. It was an incredible display of effing balls, man. Everyone was just standing around, holding their breaths, waiting to see how this guy was going to react.
"There was some expletive verbal abuse along with, "That's crab assault, man! She just assaulted the crabs! And the lady that got hit with the crabs! That's an assault on the lady and the crabs! That's assault man!"
However, in a bit of anti-climax, the man picked up the crabs and put them back at their respective seats to end the matter.
TTC spokesperson Brad Ross told CBC News that he has never seen such an incident and is completely unaware of what led to it.
