Duchess of Cambridge Catherine admitted to hospital

London, Apr 23 (IBNS): The Duchess of Cambridge Catherine, who is expecting her third child, has been admitted to hospital, officials said.

She is in early stage of labour,the Kensington Palace confirmed.

She has been admitted to the St. Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, London.

Kensington Palace tweeted: "Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was admitted to St. Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, London earlier this morning in the early stages of labour.The Duchess travelled by car from Kensington Palace to the Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital with The Duke of Cambridge."

Catherine is the mother of two children-Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

Prince George was born in 2013 while Princess Charlotte took birth in 2015.

The new child will be fifth in line to the throne.

The child will be Queen's sixth great-grandchild.

"Catherine has been on maternity leave since making a last royal visit to a charity lunch in London on 22 March," reported BBC.
